Do you already have a WordPress website, but is it more difficult than you thought?

“With WordPress you can easily adjust everything on your website yourself!”, they said. So you had a WordPress website built. Looks great! But now you want to edit a piece of text yourself. Or you just got a great photo that you want to put on the website. Or you have big news that really needs to be shared on your site. But how to do that? No idea!

You’ve already watched tons of videos on YouTube, read all kinds of articles, but you just can’t figure it out. Or maybe you’ve already figured out how to adjust that one image, but now everything is completely messed up  🙁 You’re almost throwing your computer out the window! And then you also get all kinds of notifications about updates, and that your website is not secure … HELP !!!

Don’t worry, I can help you 🙂 During my training “Working with WordPress”, you will learn all the ins & outs of WordPress in 2 hours. I will log on to your computer so I can see – and if you want, control – your screen, and we will immediately start working on your own website. We’ll go through the entire WordPress admin menu together so you finally understand what everything is for, where all the settings are, where you can adjust the content in your sidebar and footer, where you can find the pages on your website, how to write a blog post, how to add extra functionality to your website with plugins (such as a contact form or social media buttons) and of course how to adjust the texts and images on your pages. I am completely at your disposal for 2 whole hours and you can ask me anything you want!

Do you manage the website with several people? No problem of course, this training can also be given as a group training.

This training will be given via Zoom, which is an online environment comparable to Skype, in which we can (video) call via the internet. You can share your screen with me, and even allow me to control your computer if you want, so I can tell you – or show you – exactly what to do. You don’t have to install anything for this; you will receive an email with a link and a password with which you can enter the meeting immediately. The entire training is recorded so that you can watch it again later.

Wanna build your own website, but can’t do it on your own?

You are a bit more adventurous and want to build your website yourself. In your hosting admin panel, you could automatically install WordPress with 1 click, that was easy!

You’ve found and downloaded a nice theme, but when you activated it, your website didn’t look like that beautiful demo at all … or you managed to import that demo, but how can you add your own logo? Where can you adjust the colors? And how do you add your own texts and images? Not to mention columns, backgrounds, etcetera. In addition, you also want your email address and phone number at the top, and a contact form, and a Google Map … and oh yeah, speaking of Google, your new site must be easy to find of course! And then you also read all kinds of horror stories about updates and hackers …. damn, building a website is a LOT of work! 🙁

Cheer up, you can do it 🙂 You just need a little help; someone who pushes you in the right direction. Someone who sits down with you and walks through everything, from the settings in the admin menu to which theme and page builder you should choose, explains where you can adjust your logo and then lets you do that yourself, someone who tells you how to divide a page into multiple columns, or how to make a background image over the entire width of the screen with a button in it and so on.

Good news, you’ve found that person! If you take my training “Build a website with WordPress”, I will log on to your computer so I can see – and if you want, control – your screen, and we will immediately start working on your own website during a 4 hour 1 on 1 training. At the end of that training, WordPress will no longer have any secrets for you, you will have a beautiful header and footer with your own logo and contact details, your colors have been adjusted to match your corporate identity and your home page will be done – including several columns and rows (blocks), beautiful backgrounds and images, a contact button and so on!

Do you manage the website with several people? No problem of course, this training can also be given as a group training.

This training will be given via Zoom, which is an online environment comparable to Skype, in which we can (video) call via the internet. You don’t have to install anything for this; you will receive an email with a link and a password with which you can enter the meeting immediately. Custom training: decide for yourself what you want to learn

You have a WordPress website for a while already. You know how all the basics work; you know where to adjust pages and you can also publish posts on your blog. But now you run into some things that you don’t know … How do you make multiple columns, for example? How to set a different font? How to change the color of the links in your menu?
How do you do … in Gutenberg, Divi, Elementor, Brizy, Avada, WP Bakery or any other page builder? You can also contact Bob for all those kinds of questions during a custom training!

A custom training doesn’t have a fixed format. Bob logs on to your computer, we’ll open your website and you tell Bob what you know. Bob will try to answer your questions as well as possible and make the desired adjustments directly with you.

The standard rate for a custom training is € 225.00 (+ VAT if applicable) for a 2 hour 1 on 1 training. If you need more time, you can also book longer at a rate of € 75.00 per extra hour.

This training will be given via Zoom, which is an online environment comparable to Skype, in which we can (video) call via the internet. You can share your screen with me, and even allow me to control your computer if you want, so I can tell you – or show you – exactly what to do. Who is Bob The Web Builder?

Marcel Melis Bob de webbouwerBob The Web Builder is a Dutch website expert.
Bobs real name is Marcel Melis (1979), but Marcel The Webbuilder is much harder to remember (and a lot less fun) than Bob The Web Builder 😀

I built my first website back in 2003, and over time I learned quite a lot about everything related to websites.

I’d love to teach you everything I know 🙂

So what do Bobs clients say?

We’re looking back on a very productive year with Bob The Web Builder. He developed 3 WordPress websites for our company, which really improved our appearance. Bob did an excellent job teaching us how WordPress works and made it easy to get new content online. Great job Marcel, we’re really happy!

Jaap Budding

Marcel, Bob The Web Builder, has been my go-to guy for all my website related questions for a few years now. He always replies really fast and his rates are quite affordable. There has been no issue he couldn’t solve yet, and thanks to his explanation and help I’m getting better in WordPress myself as well. Top notch developer, and a great human being to work with.

Gijs Palsrok

Bob The Web Builder is really professional and great at his job: fast, knowledgeable, (customer) friendly and proactive. Our company has been using his service for years already and we’re completely satisfied.

If you've been following me, you know I'm a Divi fan. My own site is built in Divi, as are most of my clients' sites which are built before 2023. And there's nothing wrong with that, because Divi is a stable platform that is still actively developed. In fact, for the...
